Ansys 2025 R1 Electronics Updates
Ansys Electronics 2025 R1 strengthens its leadership in computational electromagnetics with enhanced simulation performance, meshing, and automated workflows, supporting advanced design in RF electronics, PCBs, electric motors, and more. The update introduces key features such as a new DC biased frequency domain analysis workflow for Maxwell, an axial flux machine template for Motor-CAD, and improved accuracy for electric machines using the Continuum Air plus Skew Model. Additional updates include enhanced Mesh Fusion for HFSS and HFSS 3D Layout, multi-node distribution for HFSS-IC, and complex value support for R/L in Q3D.
Ansys HFSS 2025 R1
HFSS receives key updates to enhance precision, including improved mesh fusion capabilities for customizable component priorities and multi-array support for antenna designs. The update also enhances HFSS SBR+ for better surface roughness modeling and near-field accuracy, crucial for radar and antenna coupling. HFSS-IC integrates solvers in an advanced "IC Mode" workflow, with automatic meshing, beta support for DC IR analysis, and distributed HPC for faster, large-scale chip-level simulations.
Ansys Maxwell 2025 R1
Maxwell continues to expand its use in motor design and consumer electronics with new capabilities aimed at saving time and broadening its application range. The 2025 update introduces an enhanced frequency domain solver for A-Phi Eddy currents, a single design workflow for DC Biased Frequency Domain Analysis, and the ability to reduce mesh/field result files by saving fields on selected objects. These improvements streamline workflows and enhance the software's versatility across various applications.
Ansys Motor-CAD 2025 R1
Ansys Motor-CAD introduces several new capabilities to enhance electric motor design flexibility. These include a new template for axial flux machines, improved workflows with high-fidelity efficiency maps, and various solver enhancements in the EM, thermal, and Lab modules. Additionally, the update offers up to 10x faster transient analyses and improved model export to Maxwell for a more unified performance map workflow.
Ansys Icepak 2025 R1
Ansys Icepak for AEDT introduces enhanced user experience and workflow improvements, such as faster TZR import, along with better meshing, solving, and physics. The update also includes system-level thermal integrity solutions, package-on-PCB workflow enhancements, and thermal and structural improvements through integration with Ansys Mechanical in AEDT.
Ansys Slwave 2025 R1
Ansys SIwave™ advances power integrity, signal integrity, and thermal co-simulation for PCB and package designs with several updates. These include enhancements to the PI Advisor, enabling schematic generation for AEDT and streamlining power integrity analysis, as well as improvements to solver input file generation, which reduce simulation times for large projects. Additionally, the update accelerates near-field simulations for EMI by pulling transient excitation from circuits in HFSS 3D Layout.
